MP5 SD
(Vintage Karl Kaps Scope)

The MP5, developed by the West German manufacturer Heckler & Koch (H&K) in the 1960s, has been in service for over half a century and is ubiquitous with many special forces around the World including the Hong Kong’s Special Duty Unit (SDU), Small Boat Unit (SBU) and Airport Security Unit (ASU) as well as widely seen in many action movies. See LINK. The acronym “MP” stands for Machinenpistole, which is German for machine pistol.
This airsoft gun is a replica of the H&K MP5 SD variant of the MP5 submachine gun family. It is an intergrally suppressed 9mm submachine gun developed in 1974 for elite special operations and counter-terrorism forces. The acronym “SD” stands for Schalldämpfer, the German word for “sound suppressor”. It is globally recognized as one of the quietest and most reliable suppressed firearms ever built.
This example is the MP5 SD3 which features a retractable buttstock, the most iconic variant of the SD family. A vintage Karl Kaps Scope is attached to the receiver top using a proprietary H&K STANAG claw mount, which secures tightly without the removal of iron sights.
