The MP5, developed by the West German manufacturer Heckler & Koch (H&K) in the 1960s, has been in service for over half a century and is ubiquitous with many special forces around the World including the Hong Kong’s Special Duty Unit (SDU), Small Boat Unit (SBU) and Airport Security Unit (ASU) as well as widely seen in many action movies. See LINK. The acronym "MP" stands for Machinenpistole, which is German for machine pistol or submachine gun.

This airsoft gun is a replica of the H&K MP5 PDW (Personal Defense Weapon), a compact versatile variant of the MP5 submachine gun family. It was introduced in 1991 for close-protection details, aircrews and special operations units, which bridges the gap between a concealable handgun and a full-sized submachine gun.

This MP5 replica has interesting features.

1) The Folding Stock. It features a side-folding polymer stock designed by Choate Machine & Tool providing rifle-like stability when deployed, but folds away for compact storage or concealment.

2) The Extended Barrel equipped with a 3-lug mounts or threads to easily host suppressor devices.

3) The Vertical Foregrip. A distinct vertical polymer foregrip of the original MP5K model. The “K” stands for Kurz (German for “short”).

4) The vintage Hensoldt Scope. A genuine magnified scope H&K liked to rely on was the Hensoldt Fero Z24 4X24. It attached to the MP5 receiver top using a proprietary H&K STANAG claw mount, which secures tightly without the removal of iron sights.
