Heckler & Koch
MP5A2
(Vintage Hensoldt Scope)

The MP5, developed by the West German manufacturer Heckler & Koch (H&K) in the 1960s, has been in service for over half a century and is ubiquitous with many special forces around the World including the Hong Kong’s Special Duty Unit (SDU), Small Boat Unit (SBU) and Airport Security Unit (ASU) as well as widely seen in many action movies. See LINK. The acronym "MP" stands for Machinenpistole which is German for machine pistol or submachine gun.
This airsoft gun is a replica of the H&K MP5A2 variant of the MP5 submachine gun family. The primary difference between the MP5A2 and other early A3 variants is its fixed stock made of lightweight, high-impact polymer. The stock provides a highly stable, consistent cheek weld for high-precision shooting compared to collapsible stocks found in A3 variants.
This MP5 replica has 2 interesting features.
1) The vintage Hensoldt Scope. A genuine magnified scope H&K liked to rely on was the Hensoldt Fero Z24 4X24. It attached to the MP5 receiver top using a proprietary H&K STANAG claw mount, which secures tightly without the removal of iron sights.
2) The tropical forearm. In 1978, H&K introduced a major ergonomic overhaul of the legacy slimline handguard. It was dubbed “tropical” or wide handguard designed to keep the user’s hand further away from the hot barrel while providing a much more secure grip. It is formed from smooth, impact-resistant polymer that tapered towards the front. Since 1978, this became the standard factory handguard shipped with most MP5 variants.
3) The SEF Trigger Group on the pistol grip. Standard military models usually feature traditional trigger coding of SEF on the pistol grip. SEF marked with S (Sicher / Safe), E (Einzelfeuer / Semi-automatic), and F (Feuerstoβ / Full automatic) firing capabilities.
